U6 – Group White (6 years)

Tactical and Team-Oriented Football
Age: 6-7 years
Phase: Preparation for the Real Game
Goal: Play like a real footballer – perfecting technique, tactics, and match mentality

Group White is the final phase of the FA Football Academy. In this phase, children are prepared for competitive football. Everything they learned in previous groups comes together here: technique, game insight, mental strength, and match mentality.

Children train at a higher intensity, learn to perform under pressure, and are prepared for a potential progression to a football club or selection team. This is the level at which they learn to think, act, and play football like a real player.

Motivation: Star System & Diploma
At the end of Group White, we conclude the entire programme with the following:
- The official FA Football Diploma
- A personal trophy in recognition of their commitment and growth.

The main lesson objectives per training session are:
  • Technical development: More control, speed and finishing
  • Game insight & position recognition: Space, choices and team play
  • Passing and kicking forms: Accuracy under pressure
  • Coordination & agility: Actions based on speed and balance

Each training session contains exercises that combine these four elements to fully develop players. In addition to the fixed core points per training session, we work on a specific football technical skill each month. This ensures depth and progression.
Each training consists of four fixed components, tailored to the age and experience of the player.

Example training day
  • Technique: Combination play, passing and finishing.
  • Reaction time: Coordination and agility exercises.
  • Game formats: 3-on-3, 4-on-4, recognizing and utilizing positions.
  • Defense & attack: Marking, switching and teamwork.
  • Fun: Competitive closing events with challenges.
  • Positioning and team thinking: Children learn how to attack and defend together
  • Game intelligence: Making quick decisions and recognizing spaces
  • Tactical insight: How do you play a man advantage? When do you choose position, when do you take action?
  • Responsibility: Gaining confidence in their own choices and those of their teammates
Now children are faced with real resistance in their learning process.

  • Training : Technical and tactical skills are combined. Children learn to think and act quickly.
  • Failure : Now failure becomes even more important! We teach children to analyze mistakes and find solutions.
  • Growing : Competitive learning is encouraged here: children learn from each other and from the situation in the game.
Progress is tracked in the Football Growth Book . Trainers provide targeted feedback on technique, insight and cooperation.
